Neuer Fahrradweg durch Vaihingen auf ehemaliger Bahntrasse

The foot / cycle path, which was opened at the beginning of October 2020, covers an approx. 3 km long section of the Vaihingen (Enz) Nord - Enzweihingen railway line. This is a disused standard-gauge branch line (opened in 1904) of 7.33 kilometers in length that connected Enzweihingen to Vaihingen (Enz) Nord station (also called Reichsbahnhof) via Vaihingen Stadt.
The cycle path passes under the Vaihingen / Enz DB train station and connects you to the city. It ends on Kehlstrasse. Kaltenstein Castle can be easily reached via the cycle path.

Beware - when the weather is nice there is always something going on here - or even a lot.
There are then many pedestrians and many cyclists on the way.
The cycle path is new and very popular - it is level, with little incline or incline.

The pedestrian and cycle path through Vaihingen on part of the route of the former branch line that led to Enzweihingen is wonderful!
I strongly recommend doing the entire section.
