Derby is the starting point to the Buccaneer Archipelago, where the Horizontal Falls are located, and to the adventurous Gibb River Road. The highlight, however, is the Boab Prison Tree and the jetty, where the most extreme tides in the southern hemisphere can be observed. The difference between low and high tide can reach 12m.
