According to the chiseled evidence, the font in the church was created in 1376. [1] Thus, it bears the first evidence of the church in the village and was most likely in the previous building. In 1686 the still standing church was built. In 1691 the altar panel was added. The pulpit was built in 1692. The consecration by Auxiliary Bishop Johann Daniel Gudenus from Erfurt took place in 1692. The pulpit from 1770 was a subsequent change. This also applies to the sculptures from the 18th and 19th centuries. They are: Mary with the Child and the Sorrowful Mary as a mosaic.

In 1930 the parish carried out an extension in the eastern part. The consecration took place on September 19, 1933 by Bishop Petrus Legge from Meissen.

The bell was made by the Schilling company in Apolda in 1952.

In 1980 the congregation visually expanded Catholic history with the image of Christ on the Mount of Olives. The pulpit and the basket were also restored. The church was painted in 1999. [2]

In 2019 the interior of the church was renovated.
