Hiking

The bunker was probably built by the Soviet troops stationed in Quarmbeck. The entire area of the stone wood was an absolute practice area, in which the tanks have also buried themselves. The site was used in the Middle Ages to mine sandstone for Quedlinburg city fortifications.
