In 1921 the landowner A. Erdmann erected the Advertising Monument to Frederick the Great on his property. Herr Erdmann was a very great admirer of Frederick the Great. According to historical records, Frederick the Great, from a hill near Werbig, made the well-known saying "Here, in peace, I conquered a province that did not cost me a soldier."
The inscription reads:
FREDERICK THE GREAT
"Here I have conquered a province in peace that none of me
Soldiers. "1746 - 1753
