Thomas Mann got the inspiration for his novel "The Magic Mountain" from his own stay in Davos. His wife Katia fell ill with tuberculosis and traveled to the Davos forest sanatorium for a lying cure. In honor of the well-known literary figure there is now the Thomas Mann Way.
