Located between Port Hedland and Broome, Eighty Mile or 80 Mile Beach is the longest uninterrupted beach in Western Australia. Contrary to its name, it actually stretches and actually stretches with a much longer 220 kilometres (that's almost 137 miles!).
A spacious caravan park with some shade and direct access to the beach. Endless beach and exciting to see the extreme tides. Swimming is possible, but not easy. During the hatching season, the turtles come to the beach at midnight to lay their eggs on the dunes, a marvellous experience. During the Australian high season, the place is relatively crowded with the typical retired nomads. Out of season, you are practically on your own.
