Zinna monks are said to have built a water mill here as early as 1250 and planted the "thousand year old linden tree". The mill, which later fell into disrepair, was a gruesome place, which is also remembered in the "Schönhannchen saga".In the middle of the 19th century, the Fähndrichsche cloth factory with a villa and nearby houses was built here using the water power of the Nuthe. In the meantime, the factory and almost all of the houses have been torn down. The area is now under landscape protection.Source: Blackboard on the millennial linden tree
