For all wind and kite surfers, SurfCity Pelzerhaken is just over a kilometer away. Beginners and advanced surfers alike will find everything their heart desires there. Ancora Marina, one of Europe's most beautiful marinas, is located a good 6 kilometers away in Neustadt, and features a fine maritime harbor restaurant. Its Wednesday regatta regularly takes several dozen sailing yachts to the shallow buoy in front of your living room and back again at dusk throughout the season.

The pier forecourt is surrounded by chic shops and boutiques, as well as appealing, upscale restaurants. The variety ranges from the coffee shop "Die Kaffeefreunde" to the crêperie and wine bar "La Vie," the "Ristorante-Pizzeria-Italia," the "Strandlächeln" and "Georg's Strandbistro," both serving German cuisine, and last but not least, the German-Greek restaurant "Nikos." Delicious ice cream is available at the Italian restaurant, and the homemade ice cream at the "Bananaboat" ice cream parlor right on our doorstep is especially recommended.
