Bike Touring Highlight
The lighthouse Blåvandshuk Fyr, built in 1900, is Denmark's westernmost point. With a few exceptions, the lighthouse can be visited all year round. The viewing platform can be reached via 170 steps. When the visibility is good, you can see the Horns Rev 1 and 2 wind farms out in the sea. The former lighthouse keeper's apartment is now home to the tourist information and an exhibition about the wind power plants. A four-wire T-antenna is stretched from the lighthouse to a free-standing lattice mast. This is used by three Danish long-wave reference stations for D-GPS on the transmission frequency 293.5 kHz.westjuetland.info/sehensertes/seezeichen
