As the name suggests, the Sitterstrandweg is a path that leads along the Sitter. It is a very beautiful path that leads through the forest and along the Sitter and on this path you will always find benches, barbecues or other cozy places.

I personally like the section from Wannenbrugg to Leebrugg the best, it is a really cool trail section (however this section is of course not suitable for pushchairs).

To the river: The Sitter measures 49 km in length. It arises from a confluence of the Wissbach, Schwendibach and Brühlbach spring streams at 812 meters above sea level. in Weissbad. It ends at 461 meters above sea level. near Bischofszell in the Thur. The Sitter flows through the two Appenzell and the cantons of St. Gallen and Thurgau.
