Erquy is a small coastal village, pleasant for its rural atmosphere. Despite its status as the leading fishing port for clams and scallops, it retains its bucolic character, appreciated by holidaymakers who daydream on its beaches during sunny days.
Here, the stone is pink. Be careful though, it is not granite but sandstone. The rock is the product of a superposition of sediments almost 500 million years old.
A notable legend, it is said that Erquy and its suburbs inspired Uderzo to design the village of the most famous Gauls in France.
