Popular destination, in good weather, the terrace is quickly full, but the staff has a good handle. It is still fast and delicious. Unbeatable is the panorama.

In 2/2014 there was a winter hike here: from the Bieler Höhe (from Partenen with the Vermuntbahn high, with the tunnel bus over the Silvretta Hochalpenstrasse to the Bieler Höhe) over the frozen reservoir to the Wiesbadener Hütte. According to the website of the Wiesbadener Hütte, this route is no longer available (why? Avalanche danger? - is not explained), but this should be replaced by another approach. For us, this winter hike was a very impressive experience. All migrants are reversed because of the Föhnsturm. We trudged on in snowdrifts up to 50 cm high - and here the snow removal equipment comes to meet us. The glorious day was saved.

One of the most beautiful day trips ever

In winter, the water is drained from the reservoir. It therefore does not freeze sufficiently. The reason for the no longer possible winter ascent across the lake.

Very comfortable Hütte. Highly recommended their burger.

Beautifully situated alpine club hut at 2,443m. Hosted except for a few months of the year. Fantastic and very friendly service.

That wasn't a detour, it was our goal. However, there are nicer huts that are far less full and overcrowded. Also, as a hiker, you have to constantly jump out of the way of cyclists.
Maybe it was because the other huts weren't all open yet.
But it is certainly a great starting point for mountaineering

Insanely beautiful view, with great food and nice plus very brisk service.... it would be a shame not to stop here
