Shortly before Gothmund, the old towpath turns sharply right and leads along the edge of the reeds for a short distance. During our visit, the Trave led to crisp floods and - the path was well flooded at about twenty meters. We had waterproof boots and just tiptoed through - everything went well. The others tried to cheat themselves along the edge of the reeds - but we do not reveal how it turned out. 🤗

Brand new bridge and the lowest part of the dam is now bridged with a footbridge. So wet feet should be a thing of the past☺️ (well, wait for the first real traverse flood😜)
