It is sometimes called Bavaria's "Grand Canyon": narrow paths wind their way through the steep hillside forest above the wild Ammer, often they are muddy, greasy. The forest is a natural forest reserve and should become a primeval forest again. Then walking through the gorge will become even more interesting. However, it is unsuitable for a comfortable walk, which is clearly indicated by unmistakable signs at the entrances.
