Former Horlofftal Railway

In 2003, rail traffic on the route between Wölfersheim and Hungen was unfortunately discontinued. However, trains are expected to roll here again soon (probably from 2023) More information:

Today, March 3rd, 2024, we will follow the old Horfofftalbahn route, which has been completely cut free in the last few weeks, i.e. the vegetation has been cut back from the tracks (from Wölferheim station to ❓ let's take a look) and the first construction work will begin to renovate the Horlofftalbahn ….👍👍😀

Apart from the old railway body, an old platform that nature has reclaimed, there is not much left to see.
BUT there are plans to “revive” the route between Wölfersheim and Hungen. an idea to make the Wetterau a little more attractive and local transport more effective...
