It is definitely advisable to climb the roodstone in good weather. It is only 1.5 hours uphill. I do not mean hiking trails but along the wall. There are no ropes to secure. You should start very early to be alone. From about 10 clock is very busy. In any case, a helmet is advisable. Good surefootedness and freedom from giddiness as well as condition is an advantage

who is true up there, can only rave about. A head for heights and sure-footedness. Even a helmet is an advantage, as there are often rockfalls.

The complete tour around and on the Widderstein is free of summiteers in flip flops, as there is no cable car there. So you meet like-minded people. The view is priceless, and once you've got the alpine climb, it's the ultimate reward.

From the summit you have a fantastic view.

Since you can drive up to the Hochtannbergpass and from there "only" about 3 hours to the summit, it is especially at the weekend in good weather often incredibly full. Anyone who has the opportunity to make this great peak during the week should do so.

Heavy but rewarding climb. A helmet is recommended - rockfall.
