Schloss Auerbach

Certainly one of the most interesting castle ruins with castle complex in the Odenwald. Imposing walls and a fantastic view from the north tower to the plain are waiting for you here.

The castle was built in the 13th century. Today a still well-preserved ruin with castle tavern. Information about the castle tavern and events can be found here: schloss-auerbach.de

For me, the most fascinating part of the castle complex is at the top of the shield wall, by the more than 300-year-old pine tree.
I always have to go back there... 😎

Very nice and well-kept area. Various stalls set up in the inner courtyard such as blacksmiths, taverns, etc. I can very well imagine a medieval event here.

Wonderful, well-preserved castle with a great view of the Rhine plain. Always worth a visit. Great hiking and bike trails, preferably for MTB / eMTB, also below the castle. Partly quite steep passages.
