This Catholic church is part of the former monastery of the preaching order, which was used as such until 1838. The sculpture of the Virgin Mary of Candelaria was kept in it when it was first carried out in January 1555 from the community that bears her name. Another curiosity of this building, which is cataloged as a cultural asset, is that the corsair Amaro Rodríguez Felipe, better known as Amaro Pargo, from La Laguna is buried there.
