Beautiful domed church - the small chapel on the left is mostly open.

The Jacobuskerk at the southern end of the Oude Markt is an unusual piece of architecture. The neo-Romanesque building has two domes, which leads to a special interior. The building from 1931 is already the third church of this name on this site. The original church fell victim to the great city fire of 1862. The neo-Gothic successor had to be replaced in the 1920s. A neo-Romanesque style was chosen to protest against the then ubiquitous neo-Gothic architectural style.
