Hiking

St. Erasmus is the patron saint of seafarers and shipping. In honor of him, a chapel was built in Deggenau in 1496. In 1857 it was replaced by a new building. In 1965, this was canceled due to dilapidation as part of road construction measures. In 1977 a chapel building association was founded to build a new chapel in the center of the village. The foundation stone was laid in 1981, in 1982 it was consecrated and handed over to its destination. The altarpiece shows the course of the Danube in a stylized form.
