    Info:
The characteristic of the softwood riparian forest - in contrast to the hardwood riparian forest - is the regular inundation by high water. The softwoods that grow here, such as willow and poplar, are used by the very common beaver. The white-spotted bluethroat has one of the most important occurrences in Central Europe here.
Ash, pedunculate oak and sycamore trees dominate the less frequently flooded hardwood alluvial forest beyond the dikes. The very rare middle woodpecker finds food here and, in old wood, space for its nesting holes. The collared flycatcher is also a tree hole breeder. Due to the dense treetops and the shrub layer, little light penetrates to the ground, which allows shade-loving plants to thrive. Liana-like plants such as clematis, hops and Virginia creeper climb up the trees. Great rarities such as lady's slippers and beaker bells can be found here.

A floodplain with hardwood and softwood is created here. A rest bench is already there.
