The beginnings of the house go back to the 17th century. Unfortunately, since the turn of the millennium, it has stood empty and decaying.
The adjacent manor was founded in 1569 as a knightly estate by Zacharias von Grünberg.

The manor house, manor house, manor (also for short castle) is a listed building and is currently not inhabited. In 1569 the estate in Heinersdorf was founded as a manor by Zacharias von Grünberg. In the 17th century, Ludwig von Meinders commissioned the building of the manor house. In 1802 it became the property of Carl Friedrich Wilhelm Schulz. The descendants built a distillery in 1867.
The castle is an early work by Karl Friedrich Schinkel and has rich stucco work on the inside. Manor owner Günther Schulz von Heinersdorf (1881 - 1938) extended the building.
After 1945 (expropriation) until 1990, the castle served, among other things, as a kindergarten, rural outpatient clinic, apprentice dormitory, school and residential building, then administration by the Treuhandanstalt and privatization of VEG. The castle has belonged to the Heinersdorf community since 1996.
