    It was initiated and built around 1905 by the Odenwald Club. It has been a natural monument since 1953 and works as the only one in the Bergstrasse district due to its natural gradient. The fountain splashes up to 5 meters high. The shelter located there is dedicated to Hammelbacher Ludwig Münnig (1886 - 1956), who took special care of the cold fountain as a friend of his homeland.
