Wasserbillig (Luxembourgish: Waasserbëlleg) is a town at the confluence of the Sauer and Moselle rivers in the east of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and belongs to the municipality of Mertert. It is right on the border with Germany. German border towns are Wasserbilligerbrück on the other side of the Sauer river and Oberbillig on the other side of the Moselle.

You can cycle nicely from Wasserbillig to Grevenmacher, drive over the Moselle bridge and then back on the German side. In Oberbillig ferry back to Wasserbillig translate.

Since December 2017, the motor ferry “Sankta Maria” from the 1960s (picture / photo) has no longer been operating across the Moselle between Mertert-Wasserbillig (L) and Oberbillig (D), but the fully electric ferry “Sankta Maria II”.
