Tips
Alternative to the highlands to the switchbacks from Niederwart to Oberwartha. Moderate slope around 5 percent. Only at the end comes a short piece with 10 percent. Still much easier to drive than the serpentine road. Towards the end runs very nicely along the Lotzebach.

For me the most beautiful and pleasant way out of the Elbe valley in the Oberwartha area. There are many alternatives all around for those who like it steeper. Little traffic (mainly residents). In the upper part there is also a natural idyll with a babbling brook. PS: Please do not gawk at the crashed UFO.
