Road cycling

I prefer the left-bank Elbe cycle path to the right-bank one, as it's a bit quieter. However, please be careful; there are a lot of people on the trail. Leaving Dresden, the path is initially squeezed between the railway embankment and the railings leading to the Elbe, and from the motorway bridge onward, it winds beautifully across the Elbe meadows. Only the pavement at the Gohlis windmill slows you down a bit.
