Lennach was first mentioned in documents in 1282 and thus has a long history. The name of the place is derived from the clematis (Clematis Vitalba), which grows in this water-rich area. Archaeological finds indicate that the area was already settled in prehistoric times.

Today Lennach is known for its picturesque landscape and charming townscape. Thanks to state funding and the commitment of the approximately 210 residents, Lennach has developed into a real gem.
