The Jever town church burned down four times. The portals date from 1729 and refer to this history with their inscriptions. Most recently, the church was almost completely destroyed in the fire of 1959.In the preserved apse, the Edo-Wiemken monument commemorates Miss Maria's father. She had the monument built between 1561 and 1564.In 1964, today's modern church was built, which connects to the old apse and yet remains architecturally independent.

The town church of Jever has two completely different parts. The historic choir with the magnificent tomb for Edo Wiemken is currently under construction. The modern nave from 1964 is also notable.
The free-standing church tower is also very beautiful.
