Apart from the carving above the front door, this is a fairly simple building, but it is still striking - it is somewhat in line with the other houses here and you a bit more.

The Bergapotheke, which has existed since 1576, is located in Clausthal-Zellerfeld, making it the oldest pharmacy in the Upper Harz.
The striking house was built in 1674. The artistically carved coats of arms above the front door represent the family crests of the builders of the house. Two grimaces can be seen next to them - you will find a total of 66 of them throughout the building. For this reason, the Bergapotheke is also called the "Fratzenapotheke". Inside the house there are also rich ceiling decorations.
