The pair of rocks can be seen from afar from many vantage points around Rodalben. There is also a rest bench on site. In the evening they are illuminated and you can see bats fluttering about in the glow of the light.

The brother rock is the symbol of the town of Rodalben. It is located along the approximately 45-kilometer-long Rodalber Felsenwanderweg, which takes hikers past over 120 rock formations made of red sandstone and is considered one of the most beautiful circular hiking trails in the Palatinate. In 2013 it was awarded the “Wanderbares Deutschland Quality Hiking Trail” for the third time.
The Bruderfelsen is one of the outstanding rocks on the Rodalber Felsenwanderweg. It is a typical hillside rock, whereby weather and erosion have formed the visible part of the rock into two sand pillars that look like two brothers. An impressive rock formation of several huge pillars between which one can also go. All this with a great panorama.
