The Emscherquellhof is located in Holzwickede: On the grounds of the half-timbered farm complex - formerly the Lünschermannhof - is the "source pond" of the Emscher. In reality, however, the Emscher rises in the Hixterwald, a few hundred meters southwest of the farm. Here, Emscher water flows together from a total of five springs.
