A maze of unpaved paths crisscross the lowlands between Asteri and the long sandy beach. Almost all the original wetlands have been drained for citrus cultivation, but a few yards west begins a large remaining wild and humid habitat. Between November and February the juicy fruits mature all over the area, a hiker cannot starve here 😇
