Kämmerzell (formerly Cemera cella; means chamber of the chamberlain) is a district of the East Hessian city of Fulda, with approx. 800 inhabitants. Kämmerzell lies on the river Fulda.
Kämmerzell is mentioned for the first time in history in 1150. According to oral tradition, Saint Godehard of Hildesheim held a baptism in Kämmerzell in 996. Because of this, a chapel was built in the middle of the street, so that the two lanes had to be led around the outside. In 1629 the chapel was replaced by a church.
