Bike Touring Highlight
The Westpark Bochum is the starting point of the urban development of "Downtown West" in Bochum's city center. The center of the West Park now forms the Centennial Hall, which was converted into an event center.

The Westpark Bochum is a former industrial site of the Bochum association and previously the Mayerschen Gußstahlfabrik.
At the center is the Jahrhunderthalle, formerly used as a blower machine hall for the blast furnaces of the Bochum club.
Today it is a popular venue and recreation area.
Interesting bike paths meet here, such as the Erzbahntrasse, Parkband West and soon also the RS1.

Absolutely worth seeing with a connection to the ore railway line.

Bochum's Westpark, around the Jahrhunderthalle, not only offers a large green area in the middle of the city, but also a direct connection to history.
An absolutely worth seeing piece of industrial culture.

Nice park with lots of lawns, good bike paths and a nice bridge. I also find the building of the Jahrhunderthalle very worth seeing. Numerous cultural events also take place here. There would of course be an opportunity to come by for the next extra shift.

beautiful, spacious park. However, the rails are dangerous and unfortunately you have to go by bike!

It's usually full here on weekends. During the week you have your peace and quiet here.
