Quite separated from the car road and well paved, the old railway between Hirsingue and Altkirch since the 1990s forms an excellent cycle path along the Altkirch river. The line from Altkirch to Ferrette was a railway line from Sundgau, in the Haut-Rhin in Alsace. It linked the cities of Altkirch and Ferrette from its commissioning in 1892 to its closure to all traffic in 1968. For more info: fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ligne_d'Altkirch_%C3%A0_Ferrette
