The town hall, which was rebuilt in 1836 as a new building after the great city fire of 1822, is a simple Biedermeier-style, sedentary functional building and received its special architectural charm through a clock tower on the market side. However, this was removed for structural reasons at the beginning of the 1920s. The three-storey building has a round entrance portal, above which is a coat of arms relief carved from sandstone from 1557.
Today, the town hall is the seat of the city administration and the local savings bank branch.
