The waterworks house is located on Stammheim's highest elevation (350 meters above sea level), the “cushion” on the edge of Solitude Allee. Under it is a large drinking water reservoir (300 m³). It was built in 1901 and for the first time provided the district with an orderly water supply. Built with yellow and red fired bricks and covered with glazed roof tiles, the architectural gem exudes the charm of industrial architecture at that time.Source: stuttgart-stammheim.de
