Hiking

The waterworks house is located on Stammheim's highest elevation (350 meters above sea level), the “cushion” on the edge of Solitude Allee. Under it is a large drinking water reservoir (300 m³). It was built in 1901 and for the first time enabled the city district to have an orderly water supply. Built with yellow and red burnt bricks and covered with glazed roof tiles, the architectural gem exudes the charm of the industrial architecture of the time.
