The world-famous book village Redu has been the first of its kind in Europe since 1984. Here you will find a wide variety of different books in more than 20 bookstores. Each bookshop is geared towards a special area such as cookbooks, children's books or esotericism. There are also numerous opportunities to stop off at cozy cafes and restaurants.

Redu, village of books and space! Located in the heart of the Belgian Ardennes, this pretty little picturesque village is a must-see, truly magnificent and a great place to get lost.
There are as many bookstores as there are taverns and restaurants. Everyone will find something they like: nature, astronomy, history, travel, music, archaeology, children's books and comics. There is no shortage of accommodation options either. Books have been in the spotlight every year since 1984 during the Easter Book Festival. Amateurs and professionals come from all over the world to take part.
Redu is also the starting point and/or passage point for many hikes that allow you to discover the region. We recommend that you go to La Framboiseraie to enjoy an ice cream, a gourmet plate and a good local beer.

Since Easter 1984, when the first market for rare and second-hand books was held in the Ardennes, Redu has welcomed book lovers from all over the world. One of the keys to its success is its beautiful location in a lush natural environment. This is why you can enjoy a pleasant walk in the streets of the village and in the surrounding forests at any time of year. Today, the village has around fifteen bookshops specialising in a wide range of subjects in different languages: nature, literature, history, travel stories, music, archaeology, comics, children's books, etc. You will also find craftsmen, shops, temporary exhibitions, coffee shops and accommodation.
