Worpswede is a state-approved resort, located in the middle of Teufelsmoor. An excellent starting point, then, for a tour of the moorland.

A very special highlight you can link in the summer with your tour. Because then goes the historic Moorexpress, an old rail bus that runs between Bremen and Stade and stops in Worpswede. Hiking

The Vogeler station on the railway line between Bremervörde and Osterholz-Scharmbeck was opened in 1910. The building is one of the most beautiful monuments in the region. The rooms, which are still largely furnished with original furniture, reflect all facets of the Art Nouveau era.

Johann Heinrich Vogeler was born on December 12, 1872 in Bremen and died in 1942. He was a painter, graphic artist, architect and writer, all in the Art Nouveau style.

Built in 1910 to plans by Heinrich Vogeler. The regular rail traffic was discontinued in 1973. Since 2000, the Moorexpress operates here again in the summer months.
