Castle on Fehmarn is the main town of the island. It's true, it's loud and hectic. This has to do partly with the car traffic, which flows in on the Bahnhofsstrasse, Am Markt and Breite Strasse. There is no other alternative
But it is lined with old houses, many small hotels and restaurants, with the possibility to sit outside on platforms.
