In the Osthofentor there is a museum with weapons from the city’s history.

The Osthofentor is a city gate of the Hanseatic city of Soest on the Hellweg, newly built between 1594 and 1603. The sandstone building is the last remaining of the eight main and two side gates.
The old town of Soest is well worth a look, but due to time constraints it was not explored on this tour.

The Osthofentor in Soest is part of the old city wall of Soest and looks very neat and clean and monumental. A little like the Lübecker Tor.
