Here you are standing on the Vollrathsruhe estate with its two-storey, 13-axle manor house, the estate's own park and an octagonal castle chapel.
The neo-baroque manor house was destroyed in a fire in 1917, but was then rebuilt. During the GDR era, it served as a youth depot for children who were difficult to train. After reunification in 2005, the association "Geo- und Kulturverein Steinreich e. V.” founded in Vollrathsruhe, which has since expanded i.a. takes care of the preservation of the Gutschloss.

This castle, actually a mansion of the homonymous manor from the 2nd half of the 19th century, is unfortunately in poor condition.

The manor house belongs to an individual who unfortunately has not been able to take care of its maintenance for years. The Geo- and Culture Association Steinreich e.V. has renovated the chapel on a voluntary basis and regularly organizes small events, such as a wine tasting at dusk on September 21, 2024 or exhibitions. In addition, the manor house was not the youth work camp but the old school further down in the village. The manor house was used as a home for several families in the GDR. There was also a hairdresser and a kindergarten there.
Despite its poor condition, it is very impressive and worth seeing.
