Ohara Art Museum was Japan's first museum of Western art. It is a private museum consisting of three buildings on the canal and a separate building on Ivy Square.

The main building was built when the museum was founded and shows most of the highlights of the museum. On display are masterpieces of Western art by Picasso, El Greco, Gauguin, Modigliani, Rodin, Klee, Pollock and Kandinsky.
