The street owes its name to the apostle St. James. Together with his brother John, "Jakobus", i.e. Jacob, Andreas and Simon Peter, were among the first called disciples of Jesus. Around 1333, Jakobistraße was also called "In Sante Jacoperstraten". Jakobistraße used to be considered an extension of Wohldenbergerstraße and was also called that. A special feature of the street is the half-timbered house from 1612, in which the famous master mint Schlabusch lived. There you can see a carved sun and fan motifs.

Beautiful winding streets, great half-timbered houses, impressive facades. 😯📸 The Goslar old town is always recommended. 👌🏼
