The two smaller stars mark two individual graves of officers of the Red Army whose names are unknown. 16 fallen soldiers are buried in the collective grave, one of whom - Grigory Ossipenko - is known by name as things stand today, as well as 32 Soviet prisoners of war. 35 unknown victims of a massacre from the Soviet Union, Italy and Czechoslovakia were buried in another mass grave to the left of the complex. They were shot dead on April 29, 1945 by an SS commando at Lommatzsch Church.
