The Evangelical Church of St. Salvatoris (German: Savior, Redeemer) in Stangerode is a rectangular baroque quarry stone building from the 18th century. It was probably created during the long period of activity of Pastor Bernhard Trinius (1680-1766), who was pastor in Alterode, Stangerode and Ulzigerode from 1711 to 1755. The west tower was built after 1850.
Today's church has a typical baroque profiling inside and outside the nave. Three windows on the north and south side, two mansard windows, inside an originally preserved ornamentally painted wooden barrel ceiling, horseshoe gallery, two-storey on the long sides, large typically Lutheran pulpit altar with side passages and adjoining parish and patronage pews.
