Today, my junior and I hiked together over the Biberg to the Saalachtaler Höhenweg. The approach to the Höhenweg took a while (8 km), past the Sinnlehen Alm and Berggasthof Biberg.
We had a view of Saalfelden and the Hochkönig massif😍.

Wonderful through the forest over trails began the ascent to the Passauer Hütte, which stands at 2,051 m and is the only hut in the Leoganger Steinberge.
It is a black hiking trail: so steep, long and somewhat alpine.

After a restless night at the Kärlinghaus, we set off early for the Steinernes Meer.
Before we started a crisp ascent of approx. 600 vertical meters, we heard and saw marmots. A special natural spectacle for me🥰.

After an overnight stay in a hotel in Bischofswiesen, eleven hikers set off early for Königssee. Luckily, the tourist crowds weren't out yet. We were able to buy tickets immediately and get on the boat quickly.

As in the last two years, many hikers & guests met again today below the Herkules to collect money and at the same time use this great training area. Everyone chose their own pace and after each round, a note was made for the effort accomplished. A total of 205 laps were completed by all participants

A beautiful premium trail, with varied paths & fantastic views. However, I can only conditionally recommend the start in Dohrenbach. The village is not directly on the trail, but you have to walk 1 km to the start first.
I was also able to take a small extra loop because I took a wrong turn at the beginning.
