Leberechts Fischer settled in Friedrichsbrunn in the 1860s and 1870s on behalf of the Prussian King Friedrich II. The Fischer's beech - a tree with 7 trunks - was named after him. In 2002 the tree collapsed from the cold. At this point the Harzer Club Strecklenberg planted a beech tree with 7 trunks again in the same year. However, we only counted to 5.🤔
