In the extreme north of Rome is the shooting range of the Danish Air Force with many dummies of tanks, combat aircraft and other targets. The pilots of the F16 make impressive noises, but shoot silently with modern laser technology.

Here you can take a look over the dune to the training area of the Danish Air Force. However, there isn't really much to see. Still, you keep coming back.

Juvre Sand is a 20 km² military training area in the north of Rømø, which has been used by the Danish armed forces since 1954 and is not allowed to be entered. Today it is mainly used for the training of pilots who use the aircraft to attack dummy tanks, aircraft and military vehicles. During an exercise, the signal balls are hoisted and a white light flashes in the top of the control tower. You can watch the exercises from the viewing platform by the parking lot, but you have to be aware that laser light is used in the shooting range, which can cause eye damage. We therefore warn against using binoculars.

You are always allowed to walk or cycle on the 10 km long Juvre dike, which protects the large Juvre Enge marshland. The Juvre Dam was built in the 1920s, but after the Rømø Dam was built in 1948 it was damaged several times by the changed flow conditions. In 1965 a somewhat withdrawn dike was built on the east side that holds.
